The 20-some inches of rain we received March 9 and 10 did extensive damage to a couple of our buildings. The gym building and the school building both had about six inches of water standing on the floors during the flood. Consequently, all those floors have to be replaced.
Now, more than five months later, work is beginning on replacing the damaged floors. The new floor in the St. Francis Room is in place. The other floors will be laid over the coming weeks, beginning with the gym. Then follows the halls, the kitchen and the restrooms in that building. When those floors are finished, work will begin on the school building. It is hard to say when it will all be completed, but we hope to have full use of the buildings some time in October.
