The 20-some inches of rain we received March 9 and 10 did extensive damage to a couple of our buildings. The gym building and the school building both had about six inches of water standing on the floors during the flood. All the floors in those buildings were damaged. On top of that, it was determined that there was asbestos in the glue on the floors. A special asbestos abatement company had to be employed to take care of that. The floors (with the asbestos) are now removed.
Now, new flooring will have to be installed. So, we still have no idea when we will have use of those two buildings again - probably some time toward the end of summer. It is certainly an inconvenience, but thank God no one was hurt here during the flooding.
